The process my clients are using for bigger launches
Do you know what one of the most sobering realizations as an online business owner is?
You’ve probably experienced this first hand or are in the thick of it right now – and it’s this…
It doesn’t matter how passionate you are about what you do or how confident you are in your ability to get people results…
Nor does it matter how well your existing clients are doing or how much they love working with you.
If you don’t know how to talk about your offer in a way that draws new people in, establishes safety and activates them to buy, you will always struggle to make money in your business.
It’s the number one challenge affecting people’s sales.
They don’t know how to take what’s in their brains and what they know about their offer and communicate it in a way that makes their people get it and want it.
And here’s what typically happens as a result:
We either create lots of new offers in the hopes that past clients will keep on buying, or we default to trying harder with our content or simply posting more.
The net result in both instances is slow to zero sales growth (and a whole lot of busy work).
You aren’t going to solve your sales problem by only trying to keep the clients you already have or by throwing spaghetti at the wall in the hopes that they will buy the next thing.
Sure, it might get you a few extra sales right now… but then what?
Doing more of what’s already not working only compounds the problem.
And besides, working harder or adding more tasks to your plate is usually a sign that you aren’t clear on the changes that need to happen, which is where the busy work comes in.
Entrepreneurship will always feel scary and unnerving when you’re not entirely sure what made the clients that you do have choose to buy; or the positioning and language that new people need to see in order to say yes.
And sales growth will be elusive as long as it feels like something you don’t have full control over.
That’s why inside the Foundations section of Life-First Business, I teach you how to create a simple and effective high ticket offer, how to initiate sales conversations and how to close them.
If you don’t know how to initiate sales conversations, you aren’t making sales.
And if you’re not initiating frequently enough, you’re neither making sales, nor are you learning from your experiences.
Creating more content or new offers doesn’t produce clients, mastering how to talk about your offers does.
What you are really doing when you avoid this work is trying to bypass feeling bad about doing something hard that you’ve never done before, and that’s exactly why you need to lean in.
If you can’t lead someone to buy in a sales conversion, you’re not going to be able to do that with things like a webinar, content or emails.
Read that again: if you don’t know how to create sales when you’re talking to your ideal clients about your offer, you are not going to be able to move people to buy through your copy.
Learning how to lead people to buy via a direct conversation is step one, which is why we start there in the Foundations section.
Writing in a way that makes sales, without an actual conversation, is a step up from that and it’s what I teach inside the Refine section, where we dive into my brand new framework about selling at scale.
It’s a formula you can use to formalize the messages, language, stories and positioning to use to attract the people your offer is designed to help; and get them to feel safe to buy on their own.
It’s the framework all of my students cite as the most gamechanger for them and the thing that made conversion copy finally click.
I was coaching one of my alumni students last week, who’s just about to head into a big launch of a new course.
When she first joined Life-First Business, her business was already established but this was the missing piece.
She wanted to get clear on how to articulate the value of what she does and position her work in a way that makes it a no-brainer for her people, but without her having to explain that to each person that was considering buying.
She’d done this with private clients via sales calls, but she wanted to learn how to translate that into copy that any person could read after discovering her and instantly know that her offer was for them.
She wanted support on writing copy in the language of her people – in a way that allowed them to see themselves reflected in what she was sharing and instantly understand how her process and approach can facilitate the outcomes they want (and in the way they want to do it).
On Friday, she read me all her copy and… wow.
It was so good, I wanted every other member to tune in and listen because it was literally a case study in everything we teach inside the program.
Every sentence was like she was putting into words, exactly what was in their heads that they have likely never had the words to articulate.
She was facilitating mindset shifts, challenging their preconceptions, helping them understand the deeper causes of their challenges and posing a doable solution and roadmap to move them towards their desired outcomes.
In other words, the perfect example of what true conversion copy looks like.
From there, we walked through some details about points to hit in her email sequences and the metrics we’re looking for based on historical launch data but otherwise she’s all set.
I cannot overstate the crucial shift that learning this framework will unlock for you.
It makes selling your high ticket offer 10x easier and so much more natural and compelling, which results in more sales in less time.
And when you’re ready to sell courses, it sets you up to make more sales without the need for a sales conversation because your messaging does the work for you.
You’re able to make more sales, not less – while removing the need for you to show up to make them happen.
(Please note though, that you can’t get your copy to this place when you’re changing things up all the time or overwhelmed working on the wrong things. Again, take the quiz if you’re not sure what the right things are).
I’ve never taught this in the way I teach it now, and it’s just one of the frameworks that you get access to inside Life-First Business.
